i choose GT3071R :-D.....but yeah...anything ATP is a good call...they are producing good #'s....know several S4's with ATP turbo setups around my area, producing great #'s

to be honest...it's because APR knows they can get money out of you. Garrett does all the ATP turbo stuff, and common, we ALL know who Garrett is, no matter what kind of tuner you are. High prices come with customer loyalty, they know they can get more money for the name they are representing, therefore they charge more.

First of all the DSG can take the torque from even the APR stage 3 kit so don't worry about it.

The APR S3 kit is a K04 swap with all the goodies included like fuel pump and injectors. As far as the gt28 goes it is so cheap because there is no tuning provided with the kit. Best bang for the buck has to be the APR kit or the AWE K04 kit with the added fuel pump and injectors.

    Re: Turbo Upgrade

Wekk the DSG transmission can actually handle a lot more power than the manuals can, you just need to upgrade teh clutch pack. As for turbo kits go with the APR kit, I have been in the Eurocode GTI with the GT3071R kit and it was fast as balls but you would probably need to upgrade your clutchpack to be able to handle that kind of power.

    Re: Turbo Upgrade

you also dont get an intercooler or a fuel pump with the ATP kit, so far I havent found anyone that has directport software available thats reliable as apr's. but as stated before the DSG can handle the apr stage 3 or the ATP kit. S3 kit has good all around power and no lag. great for every day driving and occasional mountain runs.

Yeah the ATP GT30 kit would require REVO software.

    im sorry, but WHAT?

nothing ATP is good. it's pretty much all crap. their turbo's are good(non elims) but that is because they don't make them. garrett does. pretty hard for ATP to fuck that up... hardware is such a little part of the car. it's all in the tune. and their Mika software is HORRIBLE!! i repeat, HORRIBLE!!!!

and what S4's do you know of are running around with what ATP hardware?

    i've gotta hear this

The VF kit? nah its actually a lil less than the APR Kit. I believe before the intercooler its only $5500 and with the intercooler its $1100 more at most.
