Test drove the 135 today

Straight insane, I just found my next car!

Its small and compact, almost gives you a race car feeling.

It def. feels like an M car, not just a regular BMW.

it basically is an M car, that things engine is basically the E46's engine just a bit smaller and twin turbo'd, plus having the same horsepower and amazing driveability makes it feel just like a tiny M3. Now I want to go test one.

I placed a deposit yesterday Alpine White, Black Boston, Premium, Sport, Cold, Nav, Ipod, CA. Build starts in June, delivery late August.

i know if i go test drive one, ill want one. but its only RWD and i cant have that living in chicago

To be honest, i didnt really like them on the pics, but i saw 2 red ones here in Chicago the other day, and they look much, much better in a real life... I actually want one :)))

One of hte best new performance cars dollar for dollar out right now. 135i will most likely be my next car as well. I have actually been more excited about the 135i launch than the new M3.

There is no new production M1. The orange one you probably saw or heard about was an "Homage car". It was the anniversary of the original M1 so they let the BMW designers go crazy. Their goal was to design a new M1 based on the original. Basically update it to modern looks but still based on the original design. It is not a production car. BMW has no plans to produce it.

The 135 is sweet. I use to have a 325 and BMW makes a quality car. If they come out with a 135X i'd wait a couple of years and pick one up used. I don't see a point to buying (BMW or AUdi) a car that will lose $10k driving off the lot.

i test drove one last week and it was pretty fun. i had my sister in the back and the salesman was a bit of a tight ass so i couldnt really mess with it. but im actually going to a few other bmw places and seeing if they can do better on the price just for fun. montego blue with black boston interior!!
this car is absolutely NOT passenger friendly other than the two in the front.

I actually thought the opposite when seeing it in person. Looked tiny and cheap, better in pics. I'll reserve my overall feelings until after I drive one.

Oh Ok I see what youre saying, like an M1 front mounted engine, I was talking about the mid mount race car from the 80's thats the one they will never most likely make again. And I know that as of right now they are not going to take the 1 series and make an M out of it because it would interrupt M3 sales.

I agree. You can get close to M3 performance for nearly $20,000 less with the Dinan ECU flash and keep the warranty. The 335i is not as nimble as the 1series and due to the tuned suspenion on the 1 most people think the ride is actually better than the 3. I will say though, that the 335i coupe is one of best looking cars out right now, so if you are more interested in looks it may be a harder decision. Although, the 135 in sport trim looks pretty mean on the road. There are a lot of good photos on 1addicts.com

Man, I hate that front. The car as a whole looks like a kid's car to me. The performance numbers and reviews I've read say the thing is a revelation but why pay all that money for a little car like that when you can get a 335i coupe for just a bit more?

I have to agree with you. I have already priced out the 135 at 2 local dealers... The only option I am getting will be the sport suspension. If the numbers work in my favor I can have one below the $40K mark and keep my A4 (daily driver). I also did some research on the procede v2. Only $1300 for 53 WHP and 77 wheel torque...

this is one amazing car for its money, if u want a sporty car then this is any tuners dream machine, just think a few simple mods like Intake, exhaust, and chip and ur running dangerously close to 400hp, and if a chipped, exhaust, intake 335 can keep up with the new M3, then this light little car is gonna be amazing. Next car i get is defienatly going to be a BMW with the TT inline 3!!!!!!!!!
