Spark plug turning colors on me!!!!

    Whats up guys!
I'm confused on why this is happening and not sure whether or not its normal !!
Had installed NGK 7E, gapped at 28...
and it started to miss fire on top end really bad...
So i reinstall my original NGK 6E gapped at 30 and it ran perfectly... no more miss firing!

But after i removed the second set (ngk 6e) and the NGK 7e, both are Red in color, on the porcelain and tip.

Right now i installed the bosch FDR from ATP, and will try these out

Can anyone tell me why these plugs are turning red??? never happened before.

    normally its just off grey!!

98 audi , stock motor running gt30 Tapp software!!!

    thanks guys!

well, from the previous posts... and people running similiar setup... mostly everyone gapps at 28...

but perhaps since the 6e were gapped at 30 and 7e at 28... the 6e ran alot better and smoother then the 7e...

Octane booster does extremely little, but no its not bad.

Injector cleaner (moreover Techron concentrate) is good and should be done a couple times a year.
