    Hey there guys,

I have a 2003 Avant 3.0, and I am just curious about a couple of things.....

--Sometimes when I put it from drive into park, the RPM's jump up and down a little....not much, maybe 100rpms or so, but I notice it.....it doesnt happen all the time, and hasnt made the check engine light come on or anything.....anyone else have an issue like this, or know what could possibly cause this??

--Yesterday, I got in the car and started it up.......right away it died, and then i turned the key over again and it was fine......happened twice yesterday.....any ideas??

    Thanks for the help guys

    Re: small idle issue--need input

No worries, the RPMs will fluctuate when you move the shifter from P to any other gear because the trip tronic cannot have any stress on the pully's while its shifting, so the car takes the RPM down a quick sec to allow for the engagement of that gear. Also if your driving you will notice the same.. The CVT tranny cant have any pressure pulling on the pully's hence why when you hit the breaks the RPM goes down and when you let off the break the car takes a quick sec to get going.. No worries, just something you have to get used to
