    spacers to clear control arm?

I have a 2002 A6 2.7t. I just purchased this set of rims from a member on this board:

    rims and tires

I mounted the passenger side tires to test them out. The rear fit ok, but in the front, the tire rubs up against the control arm. Can I use a spacer to use these?

On the rims themselves, they are labeled et38 for offset.

Normally we do between ET32 and ET35. You'll need a good hubcentric spacer !

Get a 3-5mm hubcentric spacer and you should be fine. Suggestion would be H&R

sorry, just wanted to ask one more question. I assume that I would want to go with a set for the front and rear? The rear should match even though they clear everything, right?

I meant to say H&R, not Eibach.

I'd do four all the way around, otherwise it may look funny.

Well depending on what kinda look your going for... an all around aggressive look or a bull dog kind of look with the aggressive stance in front.

I'm not really going for any particular look. I just want the front tires to clear the control arms.
