    Boost leak?

So I'm driving back from the shop because I got my coilovers raised a bit since my wheels were rubbing and 30 mins after I get a low engine oil light. I pull over and I had some engine oil in the trunk so I put some in and the engine oil light went away. However, I noticed when I would accelerate, I would hear like a scratching noise from my engine bay by where the turbo is. I tried going WOT and my RPM takes a struggle to get to a bit over 5k and I'm not even hitting over 6k anymore or it would take forever. When I got home, I checked my engine for oil by the cover and there was nothing, pretty dry. Still think it could be a PCV issue or maybe its a fuel cut? But I upgraded to the APR fuel pump with the flash a few weeks ago.

I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but you may have fried your turbo. Low oil, high-revving and turbos do not go hand-in-hand. My advice when having such noise after adding the oil is to call a flatbed, and have the car returned to the shop. Better safe than need a new turbo, or other internals which may have been starving for lubrication.

Odds are it has nothing to do with the lowering of your CO's, the fuel pump, etc.

In anycase, I would be wondering why a car which is only a year old is running low on oil. If no telltale blue clouds behind, or pools of oil in the driveway, then perhaps the turbo has a bad shaft seal and has been sucking oil out of the engine, and simply blowing it out the exhaust. Shaft seals can be fried by turning off the car right after a serious flogging, basically vaporizing the oil around the shaft, and cooking the seal; remember oil has two functions in the turbo, as lubricant and coolant. This happened with my wifes' V40 T4, and cost 1500 Euro to get it fixed. Basically no smoke, but kept losing oil, and would blow a haze out the back when on full boost on the highway (neither white or blue), and loss of power above 5k rpm.

Get the car back to the shop, and good luck.

    P.S. I hope I am wrong
