Golden Gardens GTG/BBQ Saturday, May 17th

The weather is going to be incredible this weekend, so what's a better way to celebrate the arrival of Spring than a get-together? We did this meet last year and it turned out pretty big, so hopefully you can make it.

This meet is open to all European makes, but will be mostly VW's and Audi's.

When: Saturday May 17th, 2008
Where: Golden Gardens, 8498 Seaview Pl. NW, Ballard WA
Time: 1pm till whenever

Oh yeah, the road that heads down to the park from 85th is washed out currently, so you can't get there from that route. Instead:

From I-5 (north or south) get off at exit 172 merge onto N 85th St (you should be heading WEST).

turn left at 15th Ave NW

turn right at NW Market St.

follow Market all the way through ballard - youll pass the movie theater, then 24th, then once you get down to where there is a rock climbing wall on your left-->

you want to stay left which becomes NW 54th St

54th then turns into Seaview Ave NW

follow Seaview - you'll hang a left over some train tracks (low cars can make it, just drive slow)

keep traveling down seaview, there will be parking lots and sailboats to your left

stop at the stop sign and continue going straight on seaview, i believe everyone is meeting in the first parking lot on your left, before you hit the speedbumps.

It was a great day for a gtg! I was a little late getting there, traffic sucked. Sorry to hear you coundn't make it Capt.

I was there, for about 5 minutes... Took me 2 hours to get there with traffic. By the time i made it down there, had just enough time to get out, let my puppy run around for a few minutes, then i had to leave again. It sucked, traffic was horrible, the park was insanely busy, but the weather was GORGEOUS! It read 99 degrees on my cars thermometer. Wish i could have stayed longer, an gotten there earlier.

And Brian, i passed you as i was leaving! You didnt see me though

Me too! My car is still sitting on jackstands in the driveway and I can't get hold of ANY of the shops that have the parts I need!

I'm suprised I didn't see you Linsdsay, I'm usually on the look out for fellow Audi's, especially white one's with color matched wheels I was only there for about 20 minutes myself then left.

Darrick, buddy, that sucks Hopefully you'll get what you need and get it back on the road soon. Would it make you feel better if I told you it was raining and 55 degrees in Ballard on Saturday

It was a weird angle.. I was at a stop light (behind a car or two) heading home, you were pulling out of a grocery store/gas station to head to the gtg and were behind a few people at the light, and when we were driving through the intersection, there was a big truck blocking our view of each other. I saw you when you were pulling out into the road though, car looked clean as usual! I am about due for a thorough car cleaning and detail... You should tell your boy Nick at your work that he is more than welcome to wash my car again anytime soon!

Not to mention because of this, his puppy stood my puppy up for their doggy play date at the gtg. He was heartbroken
