    Dealer Services?

So I took my car in for its 35k service on Wednesday (which is free) and of course the service rep was trying to sell me on an engine cleaning and oil system cleaning. I think they wanted $80 for the oil system cleaning. He said they recommend it at least 1 a year or every 10,000 miles.

Funny thing is this: I bought my car CPO and I asked him. Do they do these cleanings as part of the CPO process? He replied "No". If they were that important and Audi's CPO is so rigorous, wouldn't they perform these?

Is this basically the same treatment you get when you flush the oil system? Is it necessary? Are there cheaper alternatives?

I didn't do either but I also don't want to neglect my ride.

Would that be like an oil flush, where they push oil through the system to flush out all the old oil? Never heard of it. Sounds like a waste of money.
