I just did this in just about the amount of time psycotic one posted in both my b6 and b7. Something so little makes me so happy. I was driving in the mountains over the weekend and the fog was ridiculous. The xenons were on along with the fogs and I could not see a damn thing. I'm hoping next time. I'll try just having the fogs on next time and hopefully it'll cut through the fog better.

Yeah, I know I did the vag mod but on the 2003+ the fogs stay on all the time as drl's and didn't like that. This simple mod by psycotic one by just wrapping some copper over the to pins and putting some tape on one of the pins was just too easy and now my fogs run independently. I missed that because I had it on my C5.

^^did this a while back and i love it i drive at night with just fogs on sometimes because they're strong enough, but i think u should get yellow fogs before u do canyons because halogen fogs do nothing!

    Re: Fog Mod

Dang didnt even know a write up like this existed. I just got my vag-com cable (which Im still trying to get working) to do the fog mod. But Im goin to go out and do this instead, here in a few.

And do "yellow" fogs really put out more light, then just regular halogens? What about if you modded your fogs like this http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=84932 , would the yellow fogs still be better. (visual preference aside)

    Re: Fog Mod

^^yes the yellow color cuts through fog much better, hence why all old cars like benzes had yellow fogs, and if u buy the ones off ebay they are 80W but only draw 55W which is much brighter!

Mine is an 02. If it isnt I missed something somewhere when I bought it. Anyway do you know (or anyone) where I can find a DIY on the RTW vag recoding. I finally got my Vag-com interface to work and just did the remote windows. Now if I can just do these lights I will be set.

^^you know how some of the 04 USPs have that coming home feature right near the headlight switch? that allows for you to keep your fogs on or something like that? i wanted that option.
