I actually use polyvinyl and PPG clearcote for the interior parts. Exterior parts are SB112 Epoxy + PPG unless they begin as bare ABS, then its polyvinyl/SB112/PPG.
Dimensional change is generally held within plus or minus 1mm with more care taken in spots that need to be considered. For instance, the beltline pieces: the parts that face the interior can be quite thick so long as they are consistent, but the edges of the beltline parts need to be very close to fit correctly.....or the top of the B5 ashtray. Too thick, and it won't close, or will bind upon opening/closing.
This particular fabric is really fat. Therefore the backings are cut down quite a bit in preparation. I am posting because I am thinking of using it, but why bother if you can't tell the difference...you know?
Because of my particular production technique, the bare minimum of kicking out a set of B5 trim is 4 days.
PSSST....trade you a set for those turbos!
