Depends what boost you want to run... This turbo will run 40-50 psi no problem. Can your engine handle that, that is the question. Spool on a 2.7 would be around 4500-4700rpm's and you would be flying. This turbo has 9's written all over it. Good luck with the sale

The car would be equipped with rods, 2.8 heads and cams, Titanium valve springs, retainers etc.


Say I wanted to 30psi, a moderate number for the size of the turbo. When will I see boost and when will I see full boost. I had only pondered on a t3-67 as the largest of possible turbos for me.

I don't know man. I am concerned about the powerband. I am not scared of lag, but I am not gonna be able to rev my car out insanely high, to the point where I could really take advantage of this turbo.


BTW I got some of the finances taken care of. I gotta talk to you about starting to sell the rest.

put this in perspective. A built 2.0L evo will spool it at around 6k and rev to 11k now you have an extra .7 liters so I would think you would be able to spool this to 30psi by about 5200 rpms ( just a guess, it depends on the efficiency of the exhaust pulse). If you could get the head to rev to 9000rpm that would be an amazing car...

Unfortunately I doubt my head will be revving to 9k.

8k maybe. but not 9.

.95 A/R is gonna be a bit too big for me without the ability to rev up to 9k

All you need to do in order to hit 9k rpms is switch over your lifters to a solid lifter like the Rosten Performance lifters that I sold on here, it changes your head from hydro to solid and ups the rev capability.

then you need solid lifter cams, the ramp profile on the cam lobes are entirely different for a solid lifter set-up, its a shit-load of work, so...you cant just do rosten solid lifters (that have to use lash caps machined for 0.006 lobe clearence) Have fun! I know I will!
Honestly, I have tried to sell this turbo off the web and nothing works, I hate going to other sites and waiting for the "time period" or how many posts you put down, I might just hold onto this turbo for my other built 96' S6 AAN motor.
