Hey just looking to get some info on how many people are running K&N air filters and if problems arise often. I know with a MAF the air sensor can get buggered up cause of the oil on the filter.
    Please let me know

    Re: K&N Filters

I got the pre-oiled panel filter the week after I got my car (~7months maybe?), haven't even thought about it since.

    Re: K&N Filters

What's the part number for that?

The only one I can find is for part number 33-2209, and it doesn't say if it's pre-oiled or not.

    Re: K&N Filters

If you're worried about the oil, place the new filter on some paper towels for a day or two the remove the excess oil.

    Re: K&N Filters

I ordered AFE Pro-DryS OEM drop in.
I like it so far. I did notice more intake/DV noise and the no oil worries/cleaning are quite nice . Price wasn't bad either...I think somewhere around $40.
My only complaint is that it took like 3-4 weeks to get to me.

    Re: K&N Filters

the only K&N problem is people over oiling them.... when done properly they are fine.
I run an AFE pro-dryS and love it
