    Chip is basically a term used to described the reprogramming of our ECM. Back in the day we used to swap the chips out, this involved opening up the ECM and removing the OEM chip and soldering in a new one.

    No it is all done via reprogramming of the EPROM with a memory flash

    Programmer would be basically some software that allows you to redo your maps yourself no?
