I put the harness all together with the panasonic head unit tonight that has pre-out rear and fronts on the head unit and plugged in the harness and the stereo wont turn on. Is there a signal wire i'm missing to turn this thing on or what. I believe its a METRA harness. 2002 Audi A4 Quattro. its not the 25 pin harness either...2 separate harnesses, one for power and such and the other is for speaker connections...please help ASAP...

You need to run a power constant.

he has a power constant. You need to run an ACC wire that only gets power when the ignition is on. Most aftermarket headunits will need this to operate. And by the way, that metra harness is almost worthless. I bought it and am only using it to get power to the headunit. I wired ground directly to the battery and the ACC wire is tapping the fuse for the sunroof. Since the stock radio gets power at all times (even when the car is off) it is no good as an ACC wire.
    Black and Silver...thats it
