Finished the fronts, need some help for the rears

I think my rear brakes are FUBAR. I replaced my rotors and pads in the front, no problem, business as usual. I go to replace the backs, and the frickin caliper bolts are rusted shut. I finally get them to budge, now they just spin, and spin, and spin. They do not come out, hence can not get the caliper off to change the pads. Now I go to tighten them, and yup, they just spin.

What the hell did I do?, or better yet what do I need to do now? I just put the twheel back on, and raod test, same as before, but a little uncomfortable with those bolts just spinning freely.

By the way, this is on a 02 C5 S6 Avant.

    Thanks!!!

    Hey Raudi

On the rears you need to hold the gide-pin with a wrench while you are turning the pin itself. I am nto positive on the brakes for the S6 though.

Have a look in here, I'm pretty sure it will be in there.

That's from the Bentley... ( http://www.BentleyPublishers.com ) Worth every cent. Great to have if you work on your car yourself.

What type of wrench did you use to try to remove the rear rotors? The glide pins are regular bolts these will just spin when turned. The bolts that hold the calipers on are female hex head bolts... I did my rears this week, doing the fronts next week.
