Three Spoke Tip Steering Wheel Swap Questions.............

Hey guys, I'm waiting to recieve my new 3 spoke wheel with paddles, and I have a few questions. I see a lot of people do the wheel upgrade from the 4 spoke wheel, which means they need a new self canceling ring, just out of curiosity since I already have the sport 3 spoke wheel without the paddles and I am upgrading to pretty much the same wheel with paddles, do I need to purchase a new self canceling ring from an RS6 that comes standard with the paddles? Heres the wheel I ordered.

if you already have the tip buttons on your stock wheel, i dont think you need a new s/c ring... otherwise you do

if you go from 4 spoke to 3 spoke wheel you will need self canceling ring, it doesn't mater if you had padless before on your 4 spoke steering wheel
trust me i went from 4 spoke to 3 spoke TT then to rs6 and now no paddles euro alcantara rs4, and i couldn't be happier, i didnt like paddles, they only good in straight line

Just got the wheel in today, it looks sick. I was doing some research and found write ups like this one http://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec112.shtml which is great, but I noticed that the wiring is a little different because that car is either an 00' or 01' and my car is an 03'. I checked Bentley and the wiring actually is different, anyone did this swap in an 03' and up?
