Yet another 3.0 chip and programer question

I was told to talk to

    http://www.speedtuningusa.com/

I talked to them they told me they would send a programer for around $250.

Will a performance program be the same as a chip?

My throttle responce is painfull, you hit the gas and nothing happens for about 3 secounds its bad. My mom has a 3.2 and if you tap the gas it takes off and the triptronic pads on the wheel are hella fun.

So will getting a performance program help this? I also got a full cat back exoughst system (to go with my air intake) im hoping that will give me a little more responce.

I do remmber seeing a chip for the throttle responder i cant find the site anymore but it was advertized that electronic throttles are flawed and this would some how correct this and make it the responce faster, anyone herd of this? or do you think it was just trying to sell another EMC.

You might want to recalibrate the throttle body first:

    1. Get in your car, it doesn't matter if you close the door or not.

    2. Turn the key to the on position, the position just before the starter turns over.

    3. Press the gas pedal to the floor with the key in the "on" position.

    4. Hold the pedal to the floor for five seconds, then turn the key back to the "off" position(don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal.

    5. Wait 2 mins. for a full alignment. During this time you may hear very faint noises and clicks. I
only heard one sitting in my car, if I got out and popped the hood I might hear more.

    6. Drive the car as you always do.

Depending on your driving style, this may or may not be a big factor. I do a lot of city driving so
I noticed a big change after erasing my history. It is not hard to do this, just follow the
instructions - Key on, pedal down, 5 sec, key off pedal up, wait 2 minutes.

Keep the key in for the entire thing. "

I have the speed tuning chip in my 3.0. Dont expect much since its a 3.0 but the throttle response is def improved over stock.

The programmer programs the chip would be my guess since you live no where near Maryland.
