Yeah it wasn't bad. Just a little resonation in the cab. With cats it really took the edge off. I personally like the deeper note.

Any pics of what the tips look like on the car?

They are just a chrome twin tip similar to alot of the other ones out there. nothing flashy or out of the ordinary.

Out off all the pics and video I have taken, I dropped the ball on that one. I will take a pic next time that car comes in or on the next install.

These are made in the USA as well. So if they are ever out of stock, getting some made won't take months.

2.5" stainless steel piping, with mandrel bends and stainless flanges. Cats and flex couplers are stainless as well. Fully tig welded.

Roughly $50 to $100 depending on location.

They were built on a Manual trans car so most likely not. But until someone tries to bolt them up, can't no for sure, they obviously could be made to work with some modifications if they didn't fit. From all the downpipes I have seen (pretty much seen the all), everyone runs the downpipes through a slightly different path. Within an 1" or 2 of each other. But that would be the kind of difference to get them to clear.

I will keep that on my list of things to look into. Possibly jig up a set and have those available as well if it isn't a major deal.

Cabin resonation concerns me a little w/o the cats, but that's about the norm for DP's sans-cats. I'll prolly go the stealth route (w/cats) and just throw in some e-dumps for the track & or dyno .

I bolted the first cat back I did up to APR 2.5" dowpipes with no issues. So you should be fine.


As for the RS6 setup and tuning here you go.

-K04 inlets (if you don't already have them) = $550

--Fueling kit--
Tuning, JHM Plastic 90mm MAF (Made it fit the RS4 airbox and looks stock), RS4 airbox, RS4 MAF hose, Siemens 60lb injectors, 3 bar FPR, Manual Boost Controller (in car adjustable units now available for an extra cost), 255lph fuel pump, Bosch platinum sidefire spark plugs ($15 each), associated clamps/hardware for ventilation system/intake, oem paper air filter (K&N available for $65 or use yours from your stock airbox since they are the same), fuel rail hardware, updated coolant sender/o-ring/clip. =

That way the turbos, hardware and fueling kit can be had for $5800. Then only $550 more for the K04 inlets if you don't already have them. So $6350 if you need inlets as well.

Nope. Just Forge DVs with a RS4 Airbox w K&N, my 90mm MAF and an opening at the bottom. Does give a decent noise with that setup.

I know this is kind of a dead subject but... Did anyone that purchased these have a problem with the exhaust hanging super low ??? Mine is super low and now I scrape over speed bumps that I never scraped on before. BOO please let me know thanks :D

Yeah they do hang down pretty low and if your lowered much like myself then you certainly have to watch out with the speed bumps but what did you expect for dual 2.5" pipes, it's the largest set up out there production wise afaik. I just do my best to avoid the speed bumps all together.

^ Agree with everything you said.. haha I think I would like the sound with cats better.. Definately will be purchasing the catback exhaust soon.. I just got my car not too long ago i'm pretty sure I have APR 2.5 DPs, Hope it fits well.. I read that you had tested them on a car with 2.5 APR Dps so thats good to hear!

Thanks for sending the pics via email. Right off the bat I can tell that your installer was too lazy to install the new hanger, so they probably were too lazy with the adjustment of it. I have done several and yes the clearance is not as good as a single 3" but it sounds like it was a lot better than yours.

Get it to a good shop that will actually take the time to put ALL the parts in and adjust it properly.

What downpipes are you currently running?? if you currently have stock then your cat back necks down to 2.125 to fit. You can order our downpipes with them necked down to 2.125 to fit to stock DP fitting cat backs.

So yes it will fit, just select the necked down option.
