Skip Barber Racing School

I went to the one day racing program at Skip Barber at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut today. It was unbelievable; we got some quality classroom instruction and driving in sports sedans before we got to spend the rest of the day tracking their little formula cars on an autocross course. The cars are really quick- 60 in 4.5, top out around 120 and handle much, much better than any street car. I'm now tempted to continue with the three day program at some point in the future.. I highly recommend this experience.

Sounds great! How much did it end up being?

i did it with a class from my school so our bigger group made it a lot cheaper...normally i believe it is around $1500 for the one day racing school.

shit... $1500 for a day wow. I've heard it's really worth it, though. Did they ever open up that drag strip in CT that they've been petitioning for?

i'm not sure about the drag strip...but i would definitely agree it is worth it.

I did the Derek Daly 3 day class in Vegas a few years ago... 3 days and a physical gets you an SCCA license.


I highly recommend a race training course, or winter car control for anybody that considers themselves an enthusiast.
