A soft terry cloth towel will take the finger prints off, but I wanna know how to remove the waterspots?

A non-ammonia based glass cleaner like Windscreen Clear.

If water spots have been on there for a long period of time and Windscreen Clear can't get it out, you'll need an acid solution to remove since the hard water minerals are alkaline. White vinegar mixed with equal portion of distilled water (1:1) should do the trick.

    Re: chrome mirror cap cleaning

Can Windscreen Clear also be used to remove the cloudy haze/water spots on avant aluminum roof rails?? If not, can you suggest or recommend something that can be used to clean up the roof rails?

    TIA

Windscreen Clear will remove light grime and water stains that haven't etched into the surface. I would also test a 1:1 ratio of vinegar and distilled water for harder to remove water stains. To remove dullness/haziness from the metal (real metal only and not faux) I would recommend our Chrome & Metal Polish which works on all types of metal including aluminum, stainless steel, chrome, etc.

Thx for the advice, Mike. I'll give your suggestions a try (dull alum roof rails are driving me nutz ).
