    Re: Convert to Stock HID

The headlight assy itself should be all... Unless you want to do the auto leveling crap which would NOT be worth it IMO...

headlight housings, ballasts, ignitors, bulbs. You will also need either the leveling motors and control or the little white plastic pieces that take their place in non-HID models.

White plastic, about 30-35mm in diameter, hex for allen wrench molded in the middle. The motors took me awhile to get in there. They have a ball on the end which fits into a keyway while the motor has to mount and twist into it's mount. It is pretty tight in there and can be frustrating but eventually they just fall into place. I assume the white plastic pieces are easier but I haven't tried those.

Do the OEM HID require rewiring or is it plug and play?

    Re: Convert to Stock HID

All you need is the headlamp. In the UK, both HID and non-HID one-piece headlamps come with the levelling motors in place.

And complete with the ballasts too. I fitted them to my '96 car, all I had to do, was replace the connector with a facelift one, the wires are all the same colour, so no issues there. Everything works, including the leveling, which my car had before anyway. Only difference is, my pre-facelift had a seperate plug for the motors, facelift models are incorporated into the main D-shaped plug.

    Only plug-and-play on facelift models.

The Euro turn signal plugs are little different too. They still have the triangle shaped connectors, but they are positioned a little different. So when you go to plug the turn signal in it may take like 10 minutes like it did me. You kinda have to finagle it to get it in. Eventually it goes. Thats how my RS4 headlights are
