    coilovers: koni vs. stasis

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hi I am looking at buying a new set of coilovers for my A4 this week and am considering the koni adjustable dampening and the stasis ss. Anyone driven both and have a preference which is more comfortable for daily driving? Are they still having issues with the rear setup? Any other brands in that price range that you have driven on and feel are more comfortable for daily driving?

    Re: coilovers: koni vs. stasis

This topic has been exhausted man, do a quick search for coilovers, and you'll find hours of reading.

No matter the comparison, some will say they're the best C/o's ever, others will say they're terrible. It's basically going to boil down to personal preference (handling vs ride quality). Good luck !

They're the exact same thing, except Stasis used their magic on the streetsports.

    Re: coilovers: koni vs. stasis

I'm on some H&R's right now and commuting to college and the drive is fairly comfortable. The shop I went to recommended the H&R's over the Stasis from past customers.

^^usless from someone who has posted threads about suspension

do a search, as others have pointed out. koni and stasis are pretty much the same, just stasis "tunes" them. Stasis uses koni shocks

    Re: coilovers: koni vs. stasis

searched and there wasn't any recent content about whether koni had fixed the rear suspension issue. I know stasis uses the koni dampers but springs can make a huge difference. Man I am glad I don't only have an audi and have to hang only these forums with people who get upset over a question even if some form of it had been discussed. On another note where are all the highly modified B7's? Anyone on here have any pulled fenders or anything past wheels and suspension yet?

As a member of the Koni CO family, I suggest them but you really can't go wrong with either brand. I just picked them cuz I got a good deal. As far as highly modded Audi's checkout 1sicknickel's A4 Avant for looks and HID's A4 for performance(he has every performance mod known to man).

    Re: coilovers: koni vs. stasis

The Stasis springs are also Koni. Stasis puts a teflon washer that makes it easier to adjust the height. Basically the same thing. Just go with the best deal you can get on either.

    Bests.

I wish Koni would have a groupbuy or something. I really want a set but don't feel like paying retail price for them.

    Re: coilovers: koni vs. stasis

STaSIS is basically the same thing as Koni with a little extra special sauce...

but STaSIS is the winner here.

    Re: coilovers: koni vs. stasis

So heres a somewhat newb question, if I wanted comfort over performance then what C/Os should I be getting? Koni right? because Stasis is more streetsport.
