Who cares about the US Top Gear? The appeal of Top Gear to me is mainly the chemistry between the hosts and the beautiful cinematography . The US version will no doubt be dumbed down Nascar, Pinks, Monster Garage redneck, hillbilly, lowest common denominator bullshit like almost everything else on TV

For all those saying they were trying to "clone" it, they are. i cant remember where the article was, but basically thats what they are trying to do.

As an example of why they wont be able to its Fifth Gear. For those of you that watched the show, a few years back TG and FG had different formats, now FG is basically copying the TG format. Even with Tiff, they cant do it as well, and I would say they could "copy" the format almost better than NBC would be able to.

if they sign a deal with GM? thats retarded. They should test everything equally. Maybe the US will get a decent car show, even if they dont copy TG, which i wish they wouldnt.

side note: i thought the office sucked here. he was basically the SAME EXACT show, with different ppl...i wish we would jsut air the UK version lol. but then again, i only have like 3 stations and dont watch tv...so dont listen to me. ahahahah
