    What could this be?

I had my DV checked at the dealer due to lack of boost and a whistling sound. They told me it was fine but I went home and checked myself. When I took the skid plate off I noticed a lot of oil coming out of the hose that connects from the turbo to the intercooler. It was coming out of the fitting on the turbo end. The oil was leaking enough to drip and pool on the skid plate. The DV checked out fine but could this oil leak be a big problem?

Simple rule of thumb - if oil is leaking you have a problem!!!

Oil = Engines blood!!! most important thing. Call Audi and have them flatbed it to the closer dealer.

    Re: What could this be?

The funny thing is that when I called Audi yesterday they didn't seem very concerned. I asked if it was ok to drive and they said yes and that I need not rush in. I set up an appointment Friday at 7:30am so we will see. With my knowledge of how a turbo works I dont think that this is normal. I made sure to ask if it was ok to drive so if it gets worse its on them. I was just curious if anyone knew what this could mean or if anyone has experianced the same?

where did you get the car and who is servicing it. I would make sure you have that in writing that you called and told them you are leaking oil from your turbo and they said it was ok to drive. Believe me when i tell you all dealers are out to get you. No one is fair and they all just want money from suckers. Im not saying you are but to be sure take it easy if you are going to drive the car and the minute the low oil light comes on i would stop driving it.

But of course they will not be concerned. It's not their car, and the more the car gets fucked up, the more they can charge you (or audi if its in warranty) to repair it.
