    Hi

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey guys, names Rob and ive been lurking for a while now just had some difficulties getting registered. Anyhow this seems to be one of the better Audiforums and im always looking for a good technical real, or showoff thread so thanks in advance. Im 21 and fit into the category of those who can now afford b6+ S4s thanks to the price finally dipping under $30,000. I picked mines up for 28,995 w/ 19xxx miles and w/o nav. Not the best price but not to bad either. Ive always been into VW/Audi but have never owned one I went from a Honda Del Sol, to an Acura Integra LS (turbo'd), to an Acura RSX-S, and finally my 04 S4. Couldnt be happier and plan to hold on to this guy until i can afford an RS4.........which will probably be never

Anhow here are some pics of the ride..

And for fun pics of the old rides..

And to spice up the thread im interested to know what some of you owned prior to moving to your S4/RS4's so post some pics and tell me about it!

    Re: Hi

I think you and I are the only 2 B6 S4's on AZ with stock avus wheels. If there is one thing you are guaranteed to get around here it is a lot of constructive criticism when you post pics of your ride.

    welcome to the party.

    Re: Hi

wow quick responses, lol i was to lazy to resize the pics so sorry for that. Cobalt is a buddy of mines and he just broke 12s recently. And to the JDM guy i am currently debating whether i want an EM1 (99-00 SI) or just a shell from a 96+ civic to build.

    welcome to the party.
i'm rolling stock AVUS and so is by brother ZONA. i see no reason to change them out unless they are going to be lightweight wheels. i went for looks on my A4 and they were 9lbs heavier in each corner. it was a noticeable difference when i put the stock 16" sports back on vs. my 18" EVOs. so for giggles i took out the seats, spare tire, and put the stock 16s on...and my car just flew.

@ $1000/rim for some good lightweight rims...i don't see the value. i'd rather invest in my other hobby. home theater

    Re: Hi

Wow JMG you sure changed around a lot haha.. Yes im sure cops do indeed enjoy my color which is why i dont drive wreckless... during the day. I plan to look into wheels but that is not a priority at the moment, im in the market for a good exhaust, I like stratmospheres hyperflow i believe its called induction kit, and I am also considering the GIAC software upgrade as well. Im still learning about the car so I havent jumped on anything yet but you guys will know when i do.

    Re: Hi

^^ Search our forums for more info on mods. Recently, some street tests done by b00st have shown that chips and exhausts don't do as much for our cars as we'd like to think.

I bought wheels first (18"x8" OZ UL's @ 18.6lb's each) to be able to have a summer and winter set that I can hot-swap without mounting tires every season, but also to have lighter wheels for more performance in the summer. I think, and many others would agree that weight reduction is probably the best mod we can do on these heavy beasts, so I'm looking to get a light weight battery and also search to find other ways to drop weight... including my own fat ass (I weight 240, but I used to weight about 200... damnit!)

If you want exhaust, do it for the sound not the performance. I would skip the chip altogether, but I don't have a chip so maybe my opinion is worthless.

Ive been researching and Im seeing alot of mixed reviews on the different chips. Some feel they increase performance dramatically and then there are those who share your opinion. I try to focus really on dyno graphs to formulate my opinion. Im actually looking at the APR chip now i was looking into a link posted on one of the members heres sig and the chip coupled with an APR exhaust and the stratmosphere intake dynoed 320+ wheel. This was about a week ago i might be off there. As far as the weight reduc, im 5'3 140 pounds so im already a couple steps ahead of you there bud haha, but boy are you right I was playing Forza 2 and kept getting my ass handed to me in my b7 s4 until i finally bought some weight reduc. Now I can finally beat the E46 M3!
