Recall on 2002!!!

Good new guys, just called up my local dealer (Audi North shore) and there has been a recall for air plenum I think and another one. 2002 doesn't have any recalls on it, so I'm kinda of excited about this although its not that big of a deal. So all of you 02 owners give your dealers a call.

i did this recall like over 8 months ago. The other recall (extended warranty) is the temp sensor.

It is something in the firewall region. I have yet to do it since my car is not moving right now..

Sorry for confusion. Last time I called AUDI USA they said there were no recalls for 2002 models. Today, I called my local dealer for the heck of it, and they told me there were two recalls on 2002: one for air plenum and another one for something else. So go ahead make a call, give them your VIN and see what they tell you. I don't know if it applies to all 2002 models, but it worked for my VIN.

Air plenum is some kind of drainange I think as they guys was explaining it.

i got a recall letter dealing with brake system on 02's

Just got off the phone with the nearest dealership, and it goes in Tuesday for what amounts to a cleaning of the battery/ECU compartment and removal or replacement of a grommet under the battery. He said it shouldn't take more than 45 minutes including a complimentary car wash.

I called yesterday. They said there were three recalls for my 02. 1 was taken care of many years ago, two are open. They said it will take a half a day to do the two open recalls.

I wish I had half a day.

Well my dealer has a shuttle service, so I'm dropping it off tomorrow before work -> have my dealer drive me to work -> and pick me up when its done.

is this the drainage that freezes the master brake cylinder? i had that one done a while ago. and just paid for my green cts (104K miles sux).

There is also a recall on the "crankcase breather hose" for the 02. It might depend on you VIN aswell.

Just got my plenum drain cleaned up and a free wash and vacuum (needed that more than the recall). I'm a happy camper now :)

sorry to hear that, but it might be a good thing. Recalls are usually done to things that don't work, which means your car is running good.

I had this done 2 weeks ago at Champion Audi In Florida. It took 30 minutes w/ an 8 AM
appointment. Its a drain line in the air plenum. Thay also wanted to do my front brakes for $1100.00.

Okay, let's get this straight, there are three (3) recalls out there and it all depends on your VIN # whether the recall apply to your car or not.
