These gauges only come with a matte black bezel for a very stealth look.

There are a couple of extra electrical connections needed as the new gauge comes with a boost sender.

So you wire up the sender, plug that into the vacuum line and then connect the white output wire to the white input wire in the gauge harness, plug the harness into the back of the gauge and you are done.

It really sounds harder than it is.

Hm, ok that actually doesn't sound that bad. Does the sender convert boost pressure from the vacuum line into some kind of a electric signal to the gauge? I'm assuming you just need to tap the sender into a power line?

I see that gauge measures to 30 PSI for the big ballArs...

EDIT: what's the remote for? The brightness/color?

The big ballars are getting the dual VEI gauge which read to 70psi!

The remote is used to access control of the individual gauges (boost, oil temp, AFR, etc)

For the boost gauge it allows you to set: backlight/needle color combination, brightness level, peak boost recall and overboost limit alarm.

Not bad but the face is a little light. How dark is "a shade darker"? I really want this but the grey face is making me hesitate...

I spent an hour trying to get the camera to try and capture the dial color accurately and couldn't get it right and I don't photoshop my images for anything other than sharpness.

I'm holding the gauge in my hand and the bezel is matte black and the dial is a dark silver gray if that gives you any idea how off the colors are.

If you want to see exactly what the color looks like go find a B5S4 and look at their cluster.

But if you buy it, if you don't like it then DO NOT install it, send it back and I'll refund the purchase price minus the shipping.

They have a startup sequence for calibration. There is no shutdown sequence as I didn't think one was needed.
