I want to let you guys know after several months of waiting, our A.W.E. Tuning Side Mount Intercoolers for the 2.7T are finally back in stock and ready to ship! We apologize for the delay.

We have also improved one key feature of our intercoolers.....the price! You can find out the new price by clicking the link at the bottom of this post.

We're counting on the Audizine community to avoid a repeat of the last thread.

Coming in here and making such a black and white accusation like that is hostile.

Perhaps other side mount intercooler kits will offer shrouds in the future, or they may be "in progress", or they may be on the way from the subcontractor, but as of today, not all aftermarket B5 S4 side mount intercooler kits offer shrouds.

Form fitted shrouds that mate up to the US spec bumper 100% is a unique feature to our kit.

I'd really not like to get in to this further, as quite frankly I don't feel like this turning in to another war, however a certain company has 'finally' released their carbon fiber shrouds and are available.



REGARDLESS these are excellent ICs and I can guarantee you have more in, constant, stock then 'the competitor.'

Hostile? I think commenting on the competitions product in a negative manner while promoting your own is downright unprofessional. I'll be happy to delete my post if you remove your little dig at you know who's competing IC kit, that as of now DOES include optional shrouds.

AWE is more than welcome to pitch their SMICs here, as they certainly are an already proven product. I am merely pointing out that the OP of this thread is a little misleading as there is no "special" pricing going on here, just a simple sales pitch.

As far as SMICs goes for the B5-S4s, ER SMICs and AWE SMICs are two of the best out there with MAYBE a slight edge to the ER if you are planning on running something more exotic than PJ-K04s. However, AWE does have a superior dealer network and for those of us that depends on others for mods, this is a huge plus. Due to this simple fact, I will probably go with AWE's SMICs myself in the future, sooner if they are on-sale or should a GB happens.

AWE Tuning is a top-notch high quality company, one of the best and most credible in the business. If there was a mistake on their part in regards to incorrect information, we trust that they will make it right and rectify any issues.

As for these handling 500 awhp I would say yes but I have no clue, I have always been under the assumption that ER and AWE are the two best options for side mounts.

Dont forget wagner IC either, might be a tiny bit smaller but they have beautiful end tanks, they include carbon fiber shrouds, their bolt up ready require zero cleaning of the core and are 100 percent bolt up ready, requiring zero cutting and/or trimming. Talk to Max at 034 motorsport if you're interested. Im running them on my tial 606 built motor project.

Sounds good and I will certainly add those to my short list! I think I remember reading a thread comparing those to ER's during one of my intercooler search binges and the results were very impressive.

MAx has done testing with these IC and although he wouldnt show me logs of them, he assured me that they are very very similar and wagners are the best bang for the buck. And although people will disagree with me, and thats fine, i wanted the best overall deal, plus the black paint turned me on lol.

are these 100% made in the usa? i dont know why but the new end tank polishing finish looks very asian. im could be wrong though
