My fabricator Terry had some work done to his back last month and now he is back in action. So to get him back up to speed I'm having a group buy to queue up a bunch of orders to get the rust out of him!

This sale is for B5, B6 and B7 A4/S4 vehicles. If you wish to participate but have a different model please PM me to confirm details first.

A complete set of B6/B7 trim consists of 9 pieces: 4 doorpieces, 2 dash pieces, 2 ash trays and the shifter surround. For the B5 chassis we will need to confirm your model year to ensure we have the core in stock.

Retail is $800.00 + $50.00 shipping for a complete set of trim.

For a set of standard BLACK Carbon Fiber trim

For 2 orders placed the price will be $700.00 shipped
For 3-5 orders placed the price will be $650.00 shipped
For 6-9 orders placed the price will be $600.00 shipped

-> For all other fabrics there is a surcharge of $50 to the group buy price

-> All orders place during this group buy will be shipped USPS Priority (2-3 days) for domestic US orders and USPS Global Express (2-5 days) for international orders.

NOTE! A separate $400.00 refundable core exchange fee will be in added to the final group buy price for the trim. This amount will be refunded to you when you send us back your OEM trim within 14 days of receipt of the Carbon Copy trim set.

However, if you choose to send us in your trim first to overlay there will be no core exchange fee charged and we will also deduct $50.00 off the total price of the trim.

This group buy will be in effect until midnight Saturday, June 8, 2008

To take part in this group buy a $100.00 deposit is required to secure your spot.

When you mean if you send in 2 sets of trim? You want both made or are you selling one of them?

Well the deal is this with the turnaround time. Depends on when you want it and if you want to wait for the group buy to end first. It typically takes 7-9 days to make a set of trim.

If you don't want to wait for the group buy to be over then you can pay me the max amount at that point in time. You can pay me for the trim, we make it, you get it and the group buy is still going on.

If the price drops due to more people signing up then I refund you that amount.

So if you are buyer #1 and want the trim ASAP we'll make a set and you'll get it. If by the end of the sale the price drops $100, I will refund you $100.

Yeah come-on. I tell you all what. I will hook up the following for anyone who orders on this groupbuy:

1. IF you order standard black 2x2 Twill, you get your choice of 6oz or 12oz weave, no extra cost for 12oz. 12oz is thicker and tighter, 6oz gives more of a "stacked" effect.

2. Orders will be shipped via USPS Express (Domestic and International) at no extra cost.

3. All in-stock custom fabrics (Kelvar/Carbon, Texalium) will be at no additional charge. I currently have 3 types of red/black, 2 types of Blue/Black, yellow/black, Plain Weave CF, and Texalium.

I got out of my car tonight and thought to add this:

The one thing about the Carbon Fiber (or red Kevlar which is what is in my A6) is that it truly transforms your trim from something you merely notice, to something you stare at every time you get in your car. Seriously. PM anyone who has CarbonCopyDesigns trim. They'll all tell you that.

My car is not even finished being rebuilt yet and I get in it all the time just to look at all the awesome work that Terry has done. You guys will not be disappointed when you receive your trim, because if you like the way it looks from the pictures you will love it even more when you get it because pictures do not do this product any justice as the trim is absolutely gorgeous!

I do think there is a mistake in the number of pieces though, because you mentioned 9 pieces which included two ash trays, but you forgot to mention the hazzard surround which would make it 10 pieces.

4) 1 shift surround

5) 1 hazard surround

Well, you're wrong! just kidding.

Notice that in the original post, Winston lists the B6/B7 as nine pieces, but asks that B5 guys email regarding the number of pieces. This is due to the rear ashtray, and also to variations between pre and post facelift, and differences in price.

The rear ashtray is a bonus on the B5. So if you have a post face lift B5 A4, the price is for 9 pieces (doors, dash, hazard surround, front ashtray, shift surround), and the rear ashtray is included free of charge if you want it done....which is part of what Winston mentions when you email about the B5 trim.

The reason he does that is because all the weave points to the center of the car. If he did it the way you suggested, your passenger side weave would point to the front while your driver side weave would point to the back. The RS4 cf trim is the same in that all the weave point to the front as well.

Yes...what Fred said. What you don't see is that the driver's door and driver's side rear door match the small piece on the left of the steering wheel. This is just as RS4 trim.

If you would prefer a different configuration, just mention it at the time of order.

The reference to ~6oz and ~12oz refers to 100% carbon Fiber weaves. The Carbon/ Kevlar Hybrid weaves don't come in that much variety. The weave in the top picture is a 7oz special weave called "dual twill", and the bottom picture is 5.5oz weave (note that the Kevlar runs in only one direction).

I have a complete set of Black 100% 6oz Carbon for the B5, and a 6 piece beltline for the B5 finished and ready to ship. So the first customer to either send in their core or fork over a core deposit will have that shipped ASAP.
