Do you have a front license plate?

I was curious how many people do not have a front license plate on their car? If not, have you gotten pulled over and if so what was the outcome?[O_O] I personally think the car look much cleaner without any plates in the front. Just my two cents.

no front license plate for about 2 months already and no ones bothered me. i dont wanna jinx it though hah..and yeah the car looks much cleaner without a front plate. i usually just throw it in my windshield when i see a cop on the street

Thanks for the welcome. I didn't see the previous post. I don't run front plates on my weekend car. Never had an issue. Now my new daily driver I fear could be a different story. I don't want the man to have a reason to pull me over late on Friday night.

the really question should be: does your state require you to have a front plate and do you have it on?

Mn requires it and i don't have one. I showed my uncle who is a cop pictures of my car with a plate and without and he said it is much better without and that he wouldn't/doesn't pull people over for little things like that. If you get pulled over just tell them the part is on order from audi and show him the screws to take the filler plate off and on!

I believe that a front license plate is required in all states. I have heard recently that the cops are cracking down on not having a front plate because if you speed or run a red light with photo radar they cannot identify the car. Without a plate they can't mail you a ticket. It's all about the revenue stream.

florida, cali, pennsylvania i know you don't have to have a front plate....new york requires a front plate but i dont have one. it's sittin ont he floor of my car just in case i gotta pop it up in the windshield

uh yeah Cali requires a front plate homes, that's why I got my shit ghetto zip-tied to the front. just got a new thing that hides the plate for photoshoots and pulls out for driving, it's awesome,gonna install it tomorrow

I havent had a front plate for about 7 months. Have not had a problem yet. I live portland which is a pretty big city. I don't think the poilice would pull me over just because of that unless I gave them some other reason. like they thought I was drunk or running drugs or something lol I hope they don't start knock on wood. Driven passed many police officers with out the front plate with not so much as a look my way. There is always a first time for everything though so it is probably going to happen.

However, the Police would issue a vehicle rectification notice & give you 14 days to sort out a front plate if you got pulled for it. You could just say it fell off...

Yo. Rock it without the plate. I'm a cop and I don't really give anyone a hard time unless they are asking for it. Plus, if you're a AZ member near me, i'll just sign it off for you =)

I haven't had a front plate since I received the car about 1.5 years ago and yes, I live in a state that requires one. I haven't had any problems. I didn't run a front plate on the car before this either and the only trouble I ran into was a ticket issued from a meter maid for no front plate when I was parked downtown.

I live in Utah also and I haven't had a problem. It seems like cops won't do anything unless you get pulled over for something else like speeding.

Little loophole in MA. I don't run a front plate becaues I still have the old green/white plate not the newer red/white plate. If you have the old plate you don't need the front becaues when those were the norm you didn't need the front. I've been transferring my green plate since 1988

I don't even CA law need to put front license plate on it. touch wood, I don't get any ticket on it. I believe cop doesn't only give no front license tix. usually, they will give it out at the same time when you have any moving volition. This is what I think.
