    B6 steering wheel to fit a B5?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I searched and found out a b7 wheel will fit but I am in the market for a b6 wheel. I am 50% sure it will fit because I saw a b5 with one once but is there any mod needed or just a direct fit. Just need one or two answers then we can close this thread. Thanks.

Re: B6 steering wheel to fit a B5?

You guys should pay attention to what year he has(97). No it will not fit. The problem is the mounting is different. So unless you swap your steering column it won't work.

96-to early 98 is one style wheel.
late 98 to present is the other style.

Re: B6 steering wheel to fit a B5?

Why do I always get screwed with my 97. I want to keep my car but its a 97 so I think about selling it for something newer. Then I think if I am selling it im going to buy a different car.

Ps. The only reason I ask this is because I found a hot wood grain OEM wheel on ebay from Germany.

Yea, your shift linkage is different too.
I know how ya feel though, I used to own a '96 12V.

You could get one of the goofy other options as well, I have a 98.5, other options are a 99.5, and what not.

Ya well I'm in the process of selling it so we will see. I would keep my a4 if it was a newer model but if I am going to sell it I think I am going to buy a volvo again.
