I have an instrument cluster out of a 2004 A4 1.8t 6 speed. The cluster has just under 30K on it and the pixels are all fully functional.

The part number for the cluster is 8E0-920-982F

Quick question for you, is the clear cover removable on the cluster? I've got dust all in the inside of mine, and was wanting to clean it if I can separate it...

Yes you can. I actually cleaned the dust out of this one I have for sale..

My instrument cluster buzzer (...lights on, coolant temp, doors ajar...) stopped working; nothing else seems to be wrong.. I might be interested in your IC, but I'm hoping I can just replace the buzzer itself.. Do you know if it comes off easily? Any chance you can pull the part # from the back of it?

sorry; I meant a P/N for the alarm chime/speaker, not the whole I/C. I am hoping the fix could be easier & cheaper than a whole new I/C, though I might end up having to go that route..

I assume it has red CIS, not the color one, if I'm not mistaken you can't direct swap them because dealer needs to recode it or something like that.
