    Leather Care

I have an 02' A4 quattro 3.0 with 50,000 miles so not that used, and the leather is still in decent shape, no cracks, a few wear wrinkles but as I was at the dealarship today I was drooling over how nice the new leather looked. I was wondering what advice you have on leather care and if there are any products that can bring life back to my leather giving it a nice soft deep black look again if possible. I have tried some of those stuff you buy at walmart but they seem to just clean the surface.
    Thanks for your help!,

    Re: Leather Care

Our 1Z einszett Leather Care "Lederpflege" will clean and keep the finished surface in good condition. You're doing the right thing by being proactive in your maintenance instead of waiting until the surface becomes dry and more brittle.

Leather Care will clean the surface and keep the top finish on the leather from oxidizing and becoming brittle. It doesn't powder, leave a greasy finish or have an overpowering fragrance.

It's important to know that most automotive leather is finished - it has a clear coat on the surface for protection and longevity. So when you treat it, you want to avoid the older cleaners and conditioning oils that are made for unfinished leather (have no clear finish).

For more information on leather and proper leather treatment, click here for an article I wrote - it explains structure of leather and how to best maintain it.

Leather Care can be found in several dealers including this forum's sponsor, www.DetailersDomain.com.

    Hope this helps!
