    Another day another CEL

So i took my car to carmax to get the o2 changed and i was boosting on the way home because i love it. everything was great

The next morning i start the car and i hear a big vacuum leak, i popped the hood and there is some sort of a T fitting or valve or something that has broken. I tapped it and the the suction snapped back into place and held there till the car turns off. So every morning i have to tap it back into place so the car wont miss and the CEL wont come on.

So after my novel what is that part so i can replace it. There is a rubber fitting centered on the firewall that has a hard rubber line that zig zags down to the T fitting or valve that is broken i can pull it apart by hand.

    Thanks

New piece is like 150 bucks cause it comes with that hardline that zigzag's. This happened to me so i just got some heat resistant epoxy from home depot and glued that thang up!

Most likely the big burly hands at your local mechanic broke it because it was brittle. Make them fix it.

    Re: Another day another CEL

no actually not that one, if you follow that hard zig zag line down it comes to a T with another hose and the connector there is a plastic valve (for lack of a better word)

today at lunch i hit boost and and a bump and the connection came apart and i lost power brakes and it started missing pretty bad, so it makes sense that it would have something to do with the power brake booster.

sorry i dont have a camera Blackberry 8820 FTL

    Re: Another day another CEL

Are you talking about the spider hose with the PCV valve that goes into the Y pipe?

The brake booster hose and fitting do look different on the 01.5 than it does on the '00 in the pic above...are you sure it's not that one?

    Re: Another day another CEL

Its really hard to see because it sits behind and under the y pipe, like i said the part that is broken is attached to the other end of that rubber hose that is circled in that pic up there.

    Thanks for the help

yeah whats the part number, im going to have to get those pricks at carmax to fix it. Then i plan on never taking it there for service again, its just all free during the first month.
