Ride Height... How Low Can You Go?

I wanted to make this thread to see how low everybody else is.

Post your ride height (ground to fender), what your lowered on and a good picture if you have one.
I'll start.







Front Measured : 25.25 inches
Rear Measured : 25.25 inches

Im lowered on Koni/Statis Coilovers... Im no where near the lowest I can go but I still rub in the front under hard cornering.

Im going to have my Fenders rolled when I have some extra cash/ time. So we'll see if that stops me from rubbing. If it does Im probably going to lower the front just a little bit more and lower the rear a lot more.

It's about 24 in the front, 24.25 in the back, I don't remember exactly. I'm on h&r ultralows with a bunch of room left to drop

I don't remember the measurements but I always measured from the center of the wheel to the fenderlip anyway. That takes the tire out of the equation and gives you an actual suspension measurement. It is about 3/4" lower with the track tires than street tires since they are 235/40-17 and shaved. That lack of tread lowered the car enough to give it a better center of gravity without increasing the roll couple like over-lowering does. Still, it was a little too low for serious track work.











Back up to stock sport height now. I think it looks tougher this way. It is tougher in real life since it isn't afraid of speedbumps or dirt roads and doesn't bottom out at trailheads anymore.

That depends completely on which coilovers you have. It is easier to lower the car than to raise it so start a bit high.

I measured 24.25 all around and there is still a lot of room to go lower.

If I had to guess I would say around 2 inches in the front and 1.5 inches in the back.


I found this to be sorta cool...


Stasis has some good guidlines for ride height / alignment:

Conservative Street Setup
Between 1/16 and 1/32 TOE IN front and 1/32 TOE IN rear
Ride height at 25.875” front and 26.000” rear
(–1.0 camber front)
Aggressive Street Setup
Between 1/32 and 0 TOE IN on all four corners
Ride height at 25.500” front and 25.625” rear
(–1.5 to –1.75 camber front)
Track Setup
Between 0 and 1/16 TOE OUT on all four corners
Ride height at 25.000” front and 25.250” rear
(–2.0 to –3.0 camber front)

I think I am 25" front, 25.5" rear on STaSIS SS's... but I want to bump the rear end up .5" (this week end, she is back on the road!! yay!!)

Yea the truck layed frame till i body dropped it. Now it lays pinch weld and have .25 till i hit the frame.

Thank you very much DMAZE it took alittle while for me to figure out what wheels I wantd to do to set myself apart from your run of the mills audi.

The wheels are 16x8 in front and 16x9 in the back with a 205/40/16 in front and 225/40/16 in back.

Spraying the wheels took so long to do I'm actually gonna redo them, they didn't come out to look like I wanted them to.

I had a buddy of mine widen themm it took about 3 weeks. I had them balanced and I was kinda nervous they wouldn't balance but there perfect. If anyone is looking for info on getting there wheels done I can give you his info.

There actually mk5 steelies and they were widend for me and I did all the paint work on them. The ET is 45 so I used a 5mm spacer in the rear and it poked them perfectly.

But why does everyone have to play by the book why can't we break the mold as in wheels and heights. I think its aick when I see different stuff on ppls cars that are diffrnt for example there's a a4 sedan with pink bbs wheels now that shit is bad ass.

Its time to think outside the box guys it gets boring seeing the same shit all the time.

Nothing yet. But S4 is the plan. Still havent sold my car. And I almost sold it for 4k!!!!! but the guy couldnt get a ride.

I've run sub 23" same as Love4 did, but the car is undriveable. Theres about 3/4 front and back of thread on the KW's
