HP2 on 03 A4 1.8tq

Hey guys, forgive me if this is spelled out somewhere but I need a little clarification on S4 HP2 calipers. I have the possibility of buying them so I'm looking for a very quick answer before they go else where.
I understand they are supposed to be just bolt on from what I read, so my question is about the carriers. Do they just bolt onto the standard 288mm 1.8 carriers? The reason I ask is that I'm confused because if its a bolt on for B6 A4 then which carriers does this bolt on bit apply to 3.0 or 1.8?

That's all I need clarified please.

The S4 calipers are direct bolt on since they have the carriers built in (http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=206176).

I'll be swapping mine out next weekend since I bought some recently and will be picking them up Monday.
