    anyone know which belt is better between contitech and continental? are there better brands? which one comes on the car brand new? just want to make sure i get the best one, i hear the timing belt is sort of important.

    Both of those companies are suppliers of OEM replacements. OEM comes on the car brand new

    I was wondering if the goodyear gatorbelts worked out well for the TB. I think I'll stick with OEM just out of paranoia and possibly get a gatorbelt for the serpentine.

    12/23/09 - My car has been phenomenal to me. Runs strong. Don't think I'm ever going to sell it. Rather throw $7k into it for a refresh than buy a new A4 that has no dipstick.
    12/5/10 - 100k miles & counting!
    9/22/13 - 146k+ & running strong w/a new TB, water pump, etc.
