    RS4 pedals - a headache to fit!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I got my RS4 pedals through & thought I'd give the fitting a go using the same method as I used when I put TT pedals in my A3 a few years ago. Soaked them in hot water, then got to it...

Jesus they were hard work! The rubber/plastic is a lot less malleable on these compared to the TT ones.

They're still not quite on properly - the brake & clutch have one edge each which I just couldn't get to behave, despite using an array of tools. I didn't have a stubby flat blade screwdriver handy, which would have helped, no doubt.

However, they're firmly wedged on & looking good, complimenting the alloy dash trim nicely. Just need to sort the final edges & then they're there to stay!

i know how you feel on the rs4 pedals install. It was a pain in the ass to install I gave up and was lucky my neighbor was able to do it, using brute force and stretching the pedals on the sides... but the ends are soooo worth it

They are a bit of a pain. Once you have them partially on, try using your foot to coax them the rest of the way.

b/c it's like hard rubber, and the pieces barely fit the pedals. It sucked but you feel good afterward

    awe pedals

got those put in my car, the gun metal ones. they were alot cheaper than the rs4 ones, and i liked the look. had to drill and stuff, but they fit pretty securely, and look sharp, i've gotta take some pictures then i'll post them.

Hey kids, best way although the hot water isn't a bad idea, is to use a little dish soap and they will be on in no time.

I must agree, these were a PITA!! In fact, while taking off the stock clutch cover, I broke off about 1/4 of the stock clutch petal! Can you believe that shit! The entire unit is made of plastic! WTF Audi, Plastic? C'mon! BUT, in the end, brute force was applied and they came out awsome!

This is correct, only as part of the S-Line package -- since everyone gets the body parts for 08, they have to do SOMETHING to make it worth the extra $$$ :)
