Alright so my sign-on bonus for work is $10k - I should invest ... but it's going into the ride

After tax I'll have about $8 so that's not much.

My car has 2 dented door panels and small scuffs on bumper so I won't worry about "show" for now.

I'm thinking

Rear RS4 Sway
B5 S4 brakes front and rear if possible
BT (iono which yet)
FMIC
Software

maybe interior upgrades

boost gauges
new steering wheel
carbon fiber trim

suspension makes a HUGE difference..and if you go for the GO then spend some on the STOP, pick up a set of stoptechs or brembos...

I agree. Forget the B5 brakes, they're not that great and getting old. I'd look strongly at Stoptech, or lots of nice Brembos and Alcons pop up on the classifieds.

I would sell my car and buy a e46 M3.
If not that, then buy a salvaged/damaged e36 M3 and save up more money and turbo that

BUT, if I had to put it in my car I would do the following:

Honestly, buy something you've been wanting for the car and save or invest the rest. Get the RS4 rear and a boost gauge add quite a bit to the experience and don't cost a lot.

Hahah - yeah I normally invest my money - I've been splurging since March but after June all of it has to come to a stop so might as well spend it while I can right? (I'll be working in ibanking so I'll have money but no time to spend :( ) - but at this point its about quality of life / happiness once in a while right?

get yourself some new suspension, front brake kit, stage 1+ reflash and some supporting mods and youll have a quicker better looking car and still have alot to use wisely aka invest it. Just think what you could do with it in 5 years........but i dont know your personal situation, thats what i would do and im in college.
