This summer the modding will begin.

Ok, I don't really post that much around here but I do often lurk. This summer I will be modding my mostly stock 2.0TQM. So far the mods list is very low...20%Tint and blue driver side and passenger side mirror glass.

This summer I plan on doing one of the two following routes:
    Tein Suspension
    Custom Exhaust

    or:
    Revo Stg1
    Custom Exhaust
    other minor modifications.

Any suggestions? My budget will be around 2k. Feel free to throw out any ideas.

I would say it depends on what you want - do you want to improve handling or just make youre car faster? If you dont have the sport package I would say suspension, otherwise if you do, then go chip.

+1 for that list but i'm sure you can find used tein CO's for cheaper and unless you plan on installing everything yourself, i'd set aside a few hundred for labor fees.

Will you reinvent the wheel before or after the custom exhaust?

yeah that's true, I got my Koni's for 500 so included install in the $800 and the custom exhaust could come out even cheaper if you get the mufflers off ebay and just get the pipping custom

    the point of this?

    ---

Yeah I won't be doing my own install on the coil's, that's why I was surprised that I would be able to fit it all in there for the budget cost. The reason for the custom exhaust is that a performance shop will be making it and installing it for around 600.

just to let you know, I know some people who had their custom exhaust made with magnaflow 14815 mufflers for like $400 so you could get it cheaper

Well I say chip the car first then work on everything else. setting a budget helps but modding becomes addictive.

Good luck man. I would do (in this order): coils, chip, swaybars, exhaust. If you need any help installing anything hit me up. I'll be glad you help.
