MY new 08 A4 Avant SE

New here...here are a couple of pics of my new 08 A4 Avant SE. My second Audi, the other was a sedan. Love the Avant.

Quartz Grey Metallic, Black Interior, Premium Pkg, Bluetooth, NAV, Sirius, S-Line Cosmetics.

You didn't want to wait a few months for the B8?

Any plans to mod?

Thought hard about waiting. My other car was up on lease, thought about extending. The dealer has not pricing on the B8 and figured there would be no deals in the first year. They made me a great deal on the Avant so I took it.

Mods...Tint soon, was just surfing looking for lowering springs, not sure who's to get. was looking at Eibach as I have experience with their springs on other cars. Any thoughts on lowering springs would be helpful.

Not sure of other mods yet, don't want to flirt with the warranty at all.

Nice avant! If I where you I would go with coilovers. Yes they cost more but you can change your ride height for those Il winters.

dont worry yours looks a lot better than the B8, those things look really bad, and in the B8 section most agree, they don't get much positive feed back on the design.

We just got an '08 A4 SE sedan for the wife this weekend. I really like the stock wheels for once, and they look good on the Avant too. Funny thing is they have a very similar spoke design to the RAYS wheels on my car... without the polished steel lip and 19" goodness of course. Hers is going to roll like a 4x4 though. No mods for her or me due to post-wedding finances...

Yeah no Nav, Xenons, or S-line guts for us either, just S-line exterior. CVT too, but that's all she needs for DD, plus we have no intention of buying it at end of lease.

I do like the phantom black pearl effect paint with black interior though! It looks really good with the wheels.

I have to disagree. I think the B8 looks great but back to the OP.

If you get springs you will need to get shocks too or else they will fail in some time. I would say around 10k miles.

For a good spring and shock package, you will be spending close to coilover money. My suggestion would be to get coilovers. Stasis are priced reasonably well but they are a pain to adjust so get the height right the first day. haha.
