    home brew grilles

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
as title says, made them out of expanded metal, and a lot of patience with a dremel that the friggn cutter thing would shatter every other minute or so. anyways here they are, i made them back in december but just got some pics today, enjoy. i'll do a write-up if a lot of people are interested

and dont mind the windshield banner, im gettin a a lot of stuff done to my car there, and i get a really good discount (sometimes at cost) if i have it on. but after all my stuff is done i'm going to take it off.

    Re: home brew grilles

I've got a crappy work monitor so it's tough to get a good look at them. I'm sure others will also have a similar problem viewing them w/ older or uncalibrated monitors. The difficulty is increased since they're in the shadow. Taking the picture w/ the sun behind you might be helpful.

I was thinking of doing the same thing.

Writeup, now. Although I could probably figure it out, but I'm curious to see how you did it. Did you take step-by-step pictures?

    Re: home brew grilles

It's all good. But I do agree, looks good. It doesn't look stock, and it doesn't looks aftermarket. Hard to explain, but I love it.

    Re: home brew grilles

Very nice, looks clean. Much better than my plastic mesh (didn't have the grilles at all when I got it). Would like to see a DIY for both upper and lowers.

    Re: home brew grilles

looks hot. It seems you know what your doing so why not just dremel out the 3 lower lines and make yourself your own usp and then use the same type of grill procedure?
