Got a ridiculous deal on these 19" BBS RS-GT wheels, which are extremely light and beautiful looking...look MOFSTEEL, no RS4 reps.. LOL!!! I plan on lowering the car a little more, since the offset allows me to. Ima try and get better pics next weekend when the weather is nice and a long awaited vid clip of the Stasis exhaust, which is my favorite thus far.

nah..19s. anything with a lip on a B7 looks smaller. my rs4 reps, looked huge, becuase the spokes stretched out to the lips. For me, it looks perfect. With a more aggressive drop, it should look better.

thanks bud. Yes, 20s would look great, but I saw a pic on here with some one who had 20" Invidia wheels and they looked too big. Im loving the light weight of these wheels and in motion, the car looks really good.

been a member since my first audi, which was a b6 a4. tires are kumho ecsta 245/35...i think ima change to fuzion zri, i love the profile and the quiet ride, and price is reasonable.

Euro B6, you gonna need either PS2's or Conti's to get that weight really low. Anyways, really nice wheels! I can't wait for a review. How do they feel.

Okay, which ecsta tire do you have exactly? Tirerack only has 2 ecsta's that fit that size, the MX and the SPT. If you have the MX, you're alright as far as weight is concerned. Your corner weight comes in at 45.4 lbs. If you have the SPT, your corner weight is 48.4. It depends on what tires came with your car stock...if it were conti's or PS2s, then you would be having:

MX:
14.4 lbs. (total) lighter than OEM setup

SPT:
2.4 lbs. (total) lighter than OEM setup

What's the moral of the story? Light weight wheels are only relevant with the proper rubber. You aren't going to be saving much weight if you pick the wrong tire.

I weighed one a while ago and I think I will weigh one again this week. Im saving about 6lb at each corner and if I go with lighter weight tires, I could save around ~10lb at each corner. It's a much more noticable difference in driving as well. Anyways, it is what it is, Im not too worried about tires for now.

right on, those numbers were based off a 49 lbs stock setup, which is what I have. So, yes, you are saving about 5.6 lbs over your stock setup. This relates to a total of 22.4 lbs. total weight savings. If you were to change to the MX tire, you would be having 34.4 lbs total weight savings. Divide that by 4 and you'd be saving 8.6 lbs, as opposed to 5.6 per corner. The real difference is when you add all the corners up to see what has been accomplished.

I spoke with someone on AW and he has 40lbs total weight savings from his OEM setup. The problem is with the consistency of the OEM setup. I can just change the numbers in my Excel sheet to reflect those differences and get a proper calculation. A 3 pound difference in tires is still pretty big, because it relates to 12 extra lbs. Word.

gotcha..thanks bud. I am going to actually order the MX wheels, they are great looking and lighter in weight, as you said. I just wanted to keep with 19s for looks and of course reduce weight at the same time for performance. These will give me both.
