I leased my car back in 2005 and loved it so much that I bought it. If you plan to do the same, go get your exhaust. If not and you plan to turn it in, I wouldn't bother.

I think we were in the same boat...

I did a 3 year lease on my B6 S4 cause I got a great deal on it. After a few months, I decided to get a Labree catback exhaust and put it on, even though I didn't plan on keeping the car. So I swapped exhausts, wrapped up the stock exhaust and put it in the basement, waiting for the day my lease was up to switch them back...

And at the three year mark, I did some analysis and found out that not only did I truly love and want to keep my S4, but also it was the financially smartest idea... I couldn't have gotten any other car nearly as nice as my pristine condition 28k mile S4 for the same price.

So I ended up buying it out... And I'm happy I didn't wait until now to get the exhaust, because I've absolutely loved my Labree all three (four now) years that I've had it.

And that's my story

Just keep the stock as you can always switch it back before lease is up if you plan to turn in the car rather than buy it. That being said, buy it - now.

Yeah man i love my S4 too but the thing is i might move up to an RS4 next so im not sure if i should spend $1500 if im just going to end up putting the stock exhaust back on you know?

Buy it now. Keep your stock exhaust. If you decide to give it back and trade up for an RS4, then put back the stock and sell your used corsa cat back on the forum and you will recuperate some of your money. Easy decision as long as you buy the cat back for sound preferences and not for improved performance.

yea, cutback wont net you really anything in performance. This seems more of a personal question, if you trade it back in, and switch the exhausts back then go for it. I'd do it, but im an obsessive compulsive modification wizard.
