    Re: Schricks Turbo Cams

I received an email asking if I was including cam gears with these, I am not including anything but the cams. If anyone knows what these cams are they should know that I am offering them at a SUPER good price.

Sale Pending. Accepting offers though til they are gone.

    Re: Schricks Turbo Cams

If I remember correctly they are 268/264.

What is the advantage to putting any cam in your car....more power right? lol Elaborate on your question to get a better answer.
And honestly there are a lot of comparisons with this cam compared to the TT cams, it's a preference for the most part but honestly I have had both and prefer these. With the exact same duration I noticed better numbers out of the Schricks.

    Re: Schricks Turbo Cams

I don't have the part number off hand, I will get it though. I had to move to Vegas for my job and it's still at my mothers in Portland.

And yes they are for the VVT, I had an AMB which has VVT.

    Re: Schricks Turbo Cams

You also had a set of solid lifters?

Were these the cams you ran with the solid lifters?

Are the lobes on the cams special profiled to run solid lifters?

Depending on the cams lift & duration, they will open the intake and exhaust valves more, to add performance. Most aftermarket cams add more HP, but usually higher up in the rpm range. However, this is all based on the cams numbers for lift(how much the cam opens the valves) and duration(how long the valves are open), IE 268/272, and the numbers of your stock cams.

Schrick cams are "thee-Best" cams you can get for the Audi engine, because of their metallurgy.

I've had Schrick cams in my last three Audi's.

So are there any dyno proven gains on these cams, I.E. on a stock engine vs. A BT engine ? Just Curious

I thought the TT (AMU) cams were the same as the AMB cams?

He must be thinking of Techtonics Tuning Cams when he says TT cams. However, they do not make cams for the 1.8T so i am confused. It is also my understanding that Schrich cams for the 1.8T are a 252/260 not 268/264.

    Re: Schricks Turbo Cams

Go to Google and search under Schrick Cams, or call Denon in BC. I will try and provide a phone number, but unless my memory is totally out of wack I swear they are 268's. Even when you look them up online they have listings for 272's 292's 268's, when you cross search for the 1.8T. But you are right if you look up that cam set the first one on google search is 252/260 at BahnBrenner.....

I was comparing the benefit of one manufacturer to the other by saying TT, I know that Techtonics doesn't make a cam for the 1.8T otherwise I probably would have bought it at the time to save money.

I ran into problems putting that large of a lift in my vvt engine when I was on me7. Mainly robbed me of timing map.
