Start Up Problem

Just had an issue at startup about an hour ago...stopped at a deli and when I came out (10 minutes) the car wouldn't startup at all (no turnover)...but all of the lights/gauge cluster/radio & power worked perfectly fine...just no engine turnover what-so-ever.

I replaced the battery about 3 months ago, so it's not that and the alternator has been storng...no signs of it going either.

My initial thought is that a coil pack(s) has crapped out and the fact that is has been rainy/damp here for the last few days I think may have contributed to the problem. Any insight would be very helpful...thanks.

It is not your battery. That is only used for start up and then your car runs on the alternator. So we can also rule out the alternator as that only functions after car is running and you still have power. Unless your battery is under ~12v, it does not need replacement or recharge. Now the experts need to chimmey in.

From a non expert point of view. Maybe your spark plugs, coilpacks or ICM.

Thanks, replaced the spark plugs about 8 months ago, so I have to assume they're working fine...i'm now officially ruling out the following:

Battery
Spark Plugs
Alternator

Still thinking it's the coil packs but I would appreciate anyone whose run into this issue before to chime in before I order them. Thanks.

You should wait for people to chimmey in first. They are very helpfull. Or maybe post in the tech forum.
