    If you noticed that video was shot with the trannt out and on the ground. My question was "How hard is it to install it while the tranny is in the car?"

    Sorry, for some reason I though it was the one where he installed it in car.

    Driver's side dp off, axle and axle heat shield off, and you can access it alright.

    You can remove it without taking the dp axle off....Just the axle heat sheild and the wheel has to be removed.

    To tell you the truth, the wheel doesn't even have to come off. I can't even see it being possible to do the mod without taking off the dp and axle, unless you're houdini...

    In that video Jay modifies the shifter brace by cutting it a little on the edge.
    ARE YOU SURE it can be done with the brace in place?

    are you serious? The shift linkage has to come off the tranny. What i am saying is that i have it out as we speak and only to the axle heat sheild and the wheel off

    Getting the stock linkage out is easy, installing the solid linkage is the hard part. I would never try it with the axle (and probably the dp as well) still in the car.
