    custom license plate bracket?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
has anybody made a DIY custom license plate bracket for our car? i really like the filler plate as is...and i was thinking about mounting one underneath it and kind of bending the plate so it would be like a quarterpipe (ramp watever u wanna call it)...in turn it would force air to the radiator...and be legal and not get rid of the filler plate....has anybody ever tried this?

(just recently got a no front plate ticket )

The only "DIY" I've seen is using rare earth magnets to hold the plate onto the filler plate. You basically epoxy the magnets onto the back of the license plate and onto the inside of the filler plate. This allows for easy removal and as long as the magnets are really strong, it should hold. I have not personally done this because my state doesn't require a front plate.

ya i did the magnets and it works 110% theres a really good diy over on audiworld about this i think in the TT tech section... it's the best way to go cheap, simple, and really good for just pulling it on and off

I just recently got pulled over for no front plate, first time in 6 years, but I didn't get a ticket. So my plate will stay off...lol

But, does the magnet trick scratch the bumper? Just how strong are they?
