Does anyone know how much this wheel weighs?

Advan Kreuzer Series X, 18x8. It's described as a "lightweight" cast aluminum design. So far I have found it on about 4 sites, but no weight is listed. Retails for $536, which is kinda steep for a wheel that's not forged. However, I really like the look and if it's 20lbs or less, I will add it to the short list. Thanks for any help....

Cetainly not to try and sway you, but I think you can get the Neuspeed forged RS-10s for about $60 more. They are light and look great. But good luck in whatever you decide.

OK, I found a site that lists the weight. The CLAIMED weight is 7.5kgs, which converts to 16.5 lbs. I have a hard time believing they're that light, but who knows. I understand lighter is better, but can a wheel be too light???

Re: Does anyone know how much this wheel weighs?

That is EXTREMELY lightweight... If that is true I doubt you're gonna find a lighter weight wheel anywhere. I recently got OZ UL's in 18x8 and they are 18.6lb's, and I can say I really like them and noticed a slight difference in handling after putting them on.

I wheel cannot be "too light," it can only be too soft. If they are durable wheels then you're ok.

have to tried contacting any of the vendors or going directly to the company? send them an email.

i have a hard time believing those cast wheels are 16.5lbs for an 18" rim. just doesn't seem feasible...and if they are...question is wil they crack or bend?

I called VividRacing directly and, of course, all voicemail, all the time. Sent them an email, no reply yet. I am extremely skeptical of the claimed 7.5kg/16.5lb weight. In all my searching for wheels, first with a B5 and now with a B6, I have never seen an 18" wheel that light. Not even close.

yeah, that seems way light! Probably not too strong because it's cast.

Re: Does anyone know how much this wheel weighs?

The wheels are ~18 lbs ea. in 18x8. They also don't make them anymore, the replacement is the Kreuzer Series Xi. You can obviously still buy the old ones, but I don't know what the availability is like or will be like in the future. This information comes from Mackin Industries--they handle Yokomhama/Advan wheel sales and support in the US.

Re: Does anyone know how much this wheel weighs?

Is there anyway to tell if the wheel is too soft? I'm scared to move away from my OEM S4 blades.
