Hood Liner

So this weekend I was doing a little work under the hood, and I noticed that the liner on the underside of the hood looks pretty bad. Almost like the liner has shrunk over the years, and now it seems like its only holding on with half of the clips or so.
Does anybody have a link / part number for the hood liner with the clips?

Those clips are liek $3 a piece from audi

the liner itself is like $10

I just used generic home depot parts to hook them back in

The problem I see is that the liner seems to be very dry (brittle) and if I try to stretch it to install new clips, I have a feeling it's going to rip.

1) You don't really need the liner ... i doubt the heat will mess up the paint on your hood

2) Just go to the dealer and buy the liner and use your own substitutes for clips - i spray painted ziptie lookign things ming blue to match my hood and just used those

My problem is that the clips are there but the insulation ripped from around the clips!! for 10.00 i might just replace mine

I somehow lost my clips because the liner got brittle and the clips just fell off?

Who knows - f*ckign New Hampshire weather .... brutal heat in summer and frigid winters

Or just go to a junkyard - there's increasing numbers of 02's in the junkers and you can usually get shit off of them

So if the part we're talking about is #13 in the picture, 'hood insulator', its a little more expensive than $10... Hood Insulator

Hrm - i paid liek $10-20 from my dealer

mighta given me a used one - they said they had it lying around
